Slide-Out and Rear Cap
Here you can see the aluminum slide-out frame.  Under it is some of the reinforcing that was required to take the place of  the structural load carried by the part of the wall that was removed for the opening. The activation devices are not installed yet.
It is made from aluminum to keep the weight down. We plan to only have a couch and dinette set in it.

The rear cap has been started. The lower part has been mounted. The upper part will have to be modified due to the 14' roof raise.  It will also have some other mods as it was designed for a MCI-9, not a 96A2. These mods will be done later.
A rear single axle fender for a 96A2 has not been manufactured, so Mike took a fender made for a different bus and plans to split it in the middle to extend it to fit the opening (and to let us remove the wheel when needed).
